Civil War Confederate Brigadier General. Brother of Hamilton P. Bee and Brother-in-law to Clement H. Stevens. Graduated West Point in 1845. He fought in the Mexican War. He resigned his commission on March 3, 1861. On June 17, 1861 he was appointed Brigadier General. Bee is quoted as giving General T.J. Jackson his nickname "Stonewall" at the battle of First Manassas. Bee fell wounded at First Manassas on July 21, 1861 and died the following day (July 22,1861). He is buried to the left of his brother-in-law Clement H. Stevens.
