November 1862, commanded Anderson’s Brigade/Hood's Division at Fredericksburg, Suffolk, Gettysburg (w), Chickamauga, Knoxville, commanded Anderson’s Brigade/Field’s Division at Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Appomattox. Post War Career:  Freight agent, police chief, tax collector
